An old stage stop in a nearby community sports this antique store with its vintage gas pumps. Although it’s a long way from Route 66, it speaks volumes of history and America. I have painted this building many times and it does well especially with watercolor. This day the striking American flag caught the breeze and created a wonderful, dynamic composition. This painting speaks of simpler times and gentler days.
