This painting came on a trip on a country road leading to nowhere in particular with me in search of a "paintable". Almost at the end it turned sharply and up the lane it stood, this little older home with outbuildings sprinkled into the hillside, guarded by the generous mountain behind. It spoke volumes about simpler times and was very literal in that the wash line filled with drying clothes was real. The huge tree to the rear even had a tire swing….but that’s another painting.
