Trinity River

Autumn was in the air as I visited the Trinity River with its promise of new salmon and its peaceful water sound. That certain blue-purple was on the mountain again, the one you just have to capture right, and the willows turn a beautiful mauve against the pine greens. The river color was dulled by drifting cloud cover which accented the color of the foliage. It was cold, I worked carefully so as not to ruin the feeling and was glad to have this painting to show for my visit.
