05027 "Fruits & Blue Bowl III" 12x16
What artist has not plucked the succulent peaches and sliced the sweet melon for a wonderful still life only to fight with the temptation to eat it rather than paint it because "what is that color between the hip and curve and what shape really describes that span of fleshy seeds"? For me the pungent aroma of the peach spoke of color and fuzzy texture, the melon talked about moist flavor and sweet tastes and the lone grape in front was a solitary note of "taste me!"
