What a treat a visit to our ocean wetlands and the sprawling marshes and emerald green pastures that nurture the beautiful dairy cows. Their misty mornings are many and the sun slips in to illuminate their backs and warm their bodies. It was already 10 o’clock when I got to this site and caught the sketches and color studies for this piece. When I got back into the studio the memory of the misty air, the solitude and comfort and the closeness between the animals resulted in this painting of these bovines in the mist.
